appointmentは、「(人と会う)約束=会う人の時間の確保」
bookingは、イギリス英語で「空間を確保すること」
reservationは、アメリカ英語 「空間を確保すること」
scheduleは、「日程をスケジュール表に書き込むこと=日時を決めること」
※つまり、医者や客と会うための約束はappointment、ホテルや航空券の予約はbookingまたはreservationを使います。reservationはイギリスでも意味は通じます。往々にしてアメリカでイギリス英語はあまり通じないようです。■アポにまつわる表現
